Air hug to you too, Erika! Your speech was truly inspirational! Going to work hard to build meaningful relationships with students and families. Thank you!
Recently, Dr. Erika D. Tate delivered an inspiring keynote to over 550 educators in Tracy, California. On behalf of the International Center for Leadership in Education (ICLE), she addressed teachers who were gearing up to deliver instruction remotely due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Dr. Tate’s keynote, delivered via Zoom, served as a Starter Kit for Building a Learning Community in Digital Spaces. Her engaging, high-energy style remixed relevant storytelling, compelling examples, and some gameplay, to illustrate her three Starter Kit Essentials: 1. Connect Learners, 2. Empower Real Talk, and 3. Embrace Families. She charged educators to use these Essentials to facilitate connections with their learners and to push forward meaningful learning anytime, anywhere.
Best keynote speaker we have had in the last 20 yrs.
@happyinmysoul reminds us to have as many entry points as possible to connect with students: telephone, digital spaces, letters, cards, etc. All of these tools help us to build those relationships and keep the learning going. #leadered pic.twitter.com/fEER63csjw— Dr. Lisa Corbin (@CorbinL45) August 7, 2020
